Hours (by appointment) : Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 9-5; Tuesday 9-8:30; Friday 8-4. Every other Sunday 9-12.
Income based sliding fee scale available for uninsured patients. All major insurances accepted.

PRIMARY CARE – MEDICATION ASSISTANCE – BLOOD PRESSURE AND BLOOD GLUCOSE TESTS – PHYSICAL EXAMS – PPD (TB) TESTS – SPECIALTY CARE (Cardiology, Dermatology, Audiology (with free hearing aids), ENT, Pulmonary, Vision, Physical and Occupational Therapy, Neurology) – MENTAL HEALTH CARE – WOMEN’S HEALTH (PAP tests/gyne exams, oral contraceptives and long-acting contraceptives; mammogram vouchers) – HEALTH EDUCATION – MEDICAL ASSISTANCE and INSURANCE HELP AND INFORMATION – SMOKING CESSATION – SOCIAL WORK SERVICES – NURSE-MANAGED CLINIC – SALUD Para Niños/Pediatric Clinic—the second Saturday of each month.
For NEW patients, walk-in, first come, first served sessions on:
Mondays with registration starting at 5pm
Wednesdays with registration starting at 1pm (this is new as of a few months ago, we moved it from noon to 1pm)
Saturdays with registration starting at 9am
Recommended patients arrive 45 minutes to 1 hour before these start times as the walk-in sessions fill up quickly.
Appointments are available after establishing care with Birmingham.
All services are provided free of charge by a volunteer team of physicians, pharmacists, nurses, health professional students, and other healthcare providers.

Well before a refugee individual’s or family’s arrival, JFCS staff secures housing and provides furniture, food and clothing. We provide essential, immediate and longer term assistance, including but not limited to airport pick-up, referrals to human services benefits, set-up of medical appointments, paperwork, ESL class referrals, peer group guidance and transportation issues.
