WINTER SHELTER

  • Every evening, November 15 through March 15
  • Select nights due to severe weather, March 16 through March 31 (call 412-779-1329 to find out if the shelters are open)  
  • 7:00 pm to 7:00 am

    McKeesport Downtown Housing Severe Weather Emergency Shelter, 523 Sinclair Street, McKeesport, PA 15132
  • Open on nights when temperatures are at 25 degrees or below, freezing precipitation, wind or other severe weather forecasts.
  • 6:00 pm to 8:00 am

OPERATION SAFETY NET MOBILE MEDICAL UNIT

The Pittsburgh Mercy Mobile Medical Unit offers services to people who are experiencing homelessness. Appointments aren’t required, but are encouraged. For more information or to schedule an appointment, please call 412-606-0604. Below is the schedule. Services are not offered on major holidays.

THE HUB OUTREACH CENTER CLINIC

The Hub is an outreach and drop-in center for runaway and homeless youth.

Drop in Center hours are 10 A.M to 2 P.M, Monday through Thursday.

Services

  • Emergency food.
  • Assessment, counseling and crisis intervention
  • Linkages with all needed services (shelter, permanent housing, jobs or job training, health care, rape crisis, domestic violence and legal services)
  • Street outreach to identify and recruit youth in need of services from the Hub
  • Aftercare and follow-up for all youth who can be contacted
  • Linkages with the broad spectrum of services for youth and families at TRY
  • Semi monthly psychiatric services on site.

At this clinic, we provide comprehensive primary care services (medical, mental health, and substance use) for people currently or recently experiencing homelessness.
