Consumer Health Coalition has Certified Marketplace Navigators who can assist you with applying for and navigating public health insurance programs, including the Affordable Care Act or “Obamacare,” Medical Assistance, and CHIP (Children’s Health Insurance Program).
Helpline staff also assists families with renewing their health coverage, reaching their caseworkers to resolve issues, applying for free and low-cost pharmaceutical programs, navigating patient assistance programs, and learning how to use your health insurance.

PENNSYLVANIA HEALTH LAW PROJECT

PHLP’s toll-free Helpline is available to low-income people living in Pennsylvania who need help accessing health care coverage or services through the public health system. Legal advice, counseling, information, and referral services are available through the Helpline.
Not everyone needs a lawyer. When you contact PHLP, we may provide advice or coach you on ways to fix your problem on your own. If you do need a lawyer, we will talk to you about how we might represent you in hearings or other forums. Most of our work is done over the phone.

You can contact DRP’s Intake Team to seek advice about disability rights, access to services, abuse and neglect, and other issues by calling DRP’s toll-free number above or by emailing DRP at email@example.com. The intake system is staffed by intake workers (who take basic information from callers), full time intake advocates (who address advocacy issues), and full time attorneys (who addresses legal advocacy issues). Matters that require further assistance may be forwarded to a DRP staff person for follow-up while matters that require further legal advocacy may be forwarded to a DRP attorney for follow-up.
