MEDICAL ASSISTANCE TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM (MATP)

Medical Assistance Transportation Program provides non-emergency medical transportation to residents of Allegheny County who have a valid Pennsylvania ACCESS ( Medical Assistance) Card. MATP provides transportation for purposes of receiving medical services — for meeting both physical (dental, prescriptions, doctor visits, hospital visits, etc.) and behavioral health (Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol, etc) needs. Professional, friendly staff will assist you and explain all the procedures for enrolling in the program and for getting help.

APPRISE is a free health insurance counseling program designed to help Pennsylvanians with Medicare. APPRISE counselors are specially trained volunteers who can answer your questions about Medicare and provide you with objective, easy-to-understand information about health insurance. Specifically, APPRISE can answer your questions about Medicare, Medicare Supplemental Insurance, Medicaid, and Long-Term Care Insurance. You can obtain pamphlets and brochures that explain your benefits and rights under these various health insurance programs.
