ALLEGHENY COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT – STD CLINIC

3441 Forbes Avenue
Pittsburgh, PA 15213
Phone: 412.578.8080

The clinic operates five days, including one evening clinic. It is staffed by nurses, public health assistants, disease intervention specialists, and clerical personnel. The clinic provides free and confidential examinations and treatment. Tests are routinely done for syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia. Other STD tests are performed depending on the patients symptoms. Laboratory services are provided by the County Department of Laboratories, which is located in the same building, often allowing for same day diagnosis. The clinic also offers Hep.B vaccinations to patients receiving a full STD exam. The clinic is run on a walk-in basis. Patients take a number on admission and are seen in order. HIV testing and counseling is available upon request to STD patients; high-risk patients are encouraged to be tested.

They should have magazines and coffee at the STD Clinic, because there isn’t much talking going on. Thank you.
